It restricts blood flow so your mouth doesn\u2019t get what it needs to fight germs, which means you\u2019re more likely to develop gum disease. While this isn\u2019t entirely conclusive evidence of a direct correlation, it\u2019s important to be aware that you\u2019re hurting your grin in some capacity when you smoke e-cigarettes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Issue #3: Increased Bacteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most common side effects of e-cigarettes is dry mouth, which allows disease-causing microbes to thrive. A 2018 scientific study showed that the aerosol from vaping resulted in a four-fold increase in bacterial adhesion to tooth enamel.
